اقامت كلية الإنترسيرفر بالخبر للبنات برنامج توعوي لمرض سرطان المبيض بتاريخ 8 مايو وتبرع عدد من الطالبات للجمعية السعودية لسرطان المبيض من خلال شراء اساور تحمل اسم الجمعية وتم عرض فيديوهات توعوية لسرطان المبيض وعدد النساء المصابات وعدد الآتي فقدو حياتهم بسبب المرض، كما طرحت أحدى معلمات الكلية تجربتها للمرض وكيف تعاملت معه خلال البرنامج قامت بطرح وتوقيع كتابها الذي تحدثت فيه عن قصتها مع المرض من لحظة الإصابة وإلى لحظة الشفاء التام منه، كما طرحت بعض النصائح للطالبات وكيف يمكن أن يتعاملوا مع مثل هذا النوع من الأمراض كما قالت أيضا أن المرض يحتاج إلى الصبر والاستمرار في العلاج والأمل في الشفاء، مهما اختلفت الديانات وتحدثت أيضا المعلمة “Hope ” في كتابها
“Hope through cancer” أن عنوان الكتاب لا يمد لأسمها بصلة لكن لابد من الأمل خلال الإصابة بالمرض حتى تستمر في الحياه كما تحدثت عن تجربتها للعلاج الكيميائي وكيف أنه يقتل المرض والجسد معا وكيف أنها ضعفت بشكل ملحوظ وانتهت خطابها شاكره طالباتها لحسن انصاتهم وتأثرهم لقصتها وزميلاتها المعلمات لمساعدتهم في إعداد البرنامج التوعوي للطلبات.
